NEW: Mondays 3:30-5pm for Grades 4-6 Performing Arts Day! This is a new opportunity for students who have an interest in music, theater and live production. We are so excited to have Ann Marie Newman joining us for this program! A creative dreamer, she is a 30+ years long performance storyteller. For a delightful eight years, she was Storyteller in Residence for the Dallas Museum of Art. She is also a longtime stage actress, conceptual artist, writer, and a frequently published poet and poetry slam winner. During COVID isolation, Ann Marie started a vlog on YouTube called, Oopsy Annie: Joyful wanderer in this “oopsy world” where she shares stories about “oopsy" encounters, creative happenings and events of all kinds. As if that isn’t enough, because there’s so much she enjoys doing, Ann Marie recently began the column, Weekly Inky Winks with Oopsy Annie, in the Leader Record. A quote from Ann Marie to sum it all up is, “Engaging in creatively diverse story sharing with people near and far is my heart’s calling to a joy-filled life.” Tuesdays 3:30-5pm for Grades 6+ This day is a laid back time to hangout. You may have heard rumors of Clear Waters Life Center (CWLC) staff retirements and wondered if it will continue to be a center of light and activity in our communities. It will! CWLC handles change well; it’s like its middle name. Over the past year, a young and committed generation of staff has been “learning the ropes.” Over the past year, Becky, Administrative Executive Director, has been training and gradually moving her responsibilities to capable hands. Brenda has moved most of her responsibilities to a new staff member. Sherry’s transition started about a year ago, also, by turning over marketing.
Sunday afternoon, May 7, 3:00 PM, CWLC will be hosting a pie and ice cream social at CWLC-Gonvick to introduce our new staff members and provide a short history of how CWLC has grown and changed. The program will begin at 3:30. Everyone in our area communities are invited to celebrate with us. Our basket parties are fun, creative, and busy affairs. Choices of spillers, fillers, and thrillers will line the tables as customers contemplate their choices and plant them. Watching the baskets fill out and bloom is always a joy and an inspiration. We hope you can join us at this year’s Basket Parties Friday March 31st and Saturday April 1st. Bring your planter or purchase one, then choose and plant your flowers. We will care for your planter until Mother’s day! Sign up online at www.clearwaterslife.org or call 218-776-2789. Customers who live close enough are invited to stop and “visit” their baskets as Grow It! staff care for them.
