Dementia Education
According to the Alzheimer's Association, over 5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. However, it is still a challenge for many people to understand what it’s like to live with Alzheimer's disease.
Join us Thursday May 19th from 9am to 2:30pm in Gonvick at CWLC. It will be a day to talk and learn about Dementia and about how you can be a good neighbor!
You can go on a Virtual Dementia Tour Experience, gain tools for understanding, responding and communicating effectively with someone with dementia. Attend all day or just one session, whatever fits your schedule. No cost to attend.
Whether you professionally interact with Alzheimer's and Dementia, you are a caregiver to a loved one, or you want to learn more. This learning day can help equip you with tools to face the challenges of these diseases.

In 2001, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I assisted my grandfather, as much as I could, in taking care of my grandmother. In 2013, my grandmother passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s. Her passing, led me to a career working with older adults. Currently, I support caregivers who are taking care of someone with chronic illness and/or memory loss. I am also a Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association
